COVID-19 Pandemic & Impact

In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic declared by the World Health Organisation and the pronouncements of the Malta Government and National Health Authority aiming to protect the population, we would like to update you on Swissquote Financial Services (Malta) Ltd’s response to the public health situation.

Our priority is to reduce the risk to our staff, clients and business partners. To this end, we are following the recommendations of the Malta National Health Authority and have implemented a number of measures accordingly:

  • We have tested our business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure business as usual for you in the event of an emergency;
     
  • We have reviewed and triggered our employee remote working functionality;
     
  • We have stopped all international travels and have instructed our employees to remain diligent, safe and avoid any large gatherings;
     
  • We have limited physical meetings with external individuals to the absolute essential.

As a regulated Depositary in Malta and member of Swissquote Group, which is a listed Swiss Banking group, together with Swissquote Bank Ltd, our Sub-Custodian, we have activated our respective Business Continuity Plans with all necessary measures to ensure continuity of service.

Whilst it is undoubtedly our aim to continue providing an uninterrupted service, given the extraordinary events and circumstances, we objectively anticipate the need for enhanced mutual collaboration and understanding between all parties. We will continue to work closely with you in a way that protects our people and minimizes the level of potential service disruption to you.
